GRANTS PASS, OREGON

Grants Pass is a small town of about 35,000 just off Interstate 5 south of Medford. It is located on the Rogue River which is also a source of tourism. People come for the jet boat rides, and rafting. They have a Boatnik Festival on Memorial Day Weekend. It is located about 30 miles from the Oregon Cave National Monument. There is also a Wildlife Rehab Center a few miles away with bears, cougars and other animals that are being rehabbed or cannot be released. The kids will love it. It once was a timber town with 20 mills. Today only one mill is in operation. So tourism is a big part of the economy. If you are going up or down I-5 stop in and see what Grants Pass has to offer. By reason of disclosure my sister and my niece live in Grants Pass. Hi Sis

  1. And our historical sign across the main street
reads "It's the Climate" No tornados, hurricanes, severe floods, droughts, or days on end snow. We do have mild summers with a few scorcher days, and we do have a constant
days on end misting (ok RAIN) in the winter which can go on and on. But we love the GREEN
    it brings us.
