Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner with the help of all the Democrats and 28 Republicans rolled over and allowed Obama a new debt ceiling of over $17 trillion dollars. That is a lot of zeros. Apparently his thinking is he will not shut down the government and voters will be more likely to vote for Republicans. He also wants to make the 2014 election about Obamacare. Now in the Senate Harry Reid is another politician blocking action on votes. So apparently both leaders of the houses of Congress don't give a crap about the American people. They just want to win the next election. The Republicans want to win the Senate while keeping the House of Representatives and the Democrats want to keep the Senate and win the House. You wonder why there is gridlock in Washington and nothing gets done for the people. Look at these jack asses. More concerned about their own jobs than yours or mine if I wasn't retired. Term limits again appear to be the only way to blast these people out of office.
As a side note they are reporting that disgraced Congressman Jessie Jackson Jr will now get disability of $8500 a month. This is the guy spending a couple of years in prison for corruption. Why should we pay him anything he has violated the public trust.
