UNITED STATES AIR FORCE AT WAR WITH CHRISTIANS

I guess there is a lot of turmoil in the military with the "Don't Ask Don't Tell" rules. It also seems to involved the military persecuting Christians. Take the case of Lackland Air Force Base Senior Master Sergeant Phillip Monk. SMSgt Monk was called in by his openly gay commander Major Elisa Valenzuela to talk about discipline of a trainer. During the meeting the Major asked SMS Monk about his views on homosexuality. He replied he didn't agree with openly gay issues. His commander relieved him of duty. After some religious legal groups got involved SMS was suppose to meet with an Air Force Investigator. When he arrived he was read his Miranda Rights and told he was going to be accused of court martial type offenses. It appears that in the Lackland AFB area half a dozen people are being prosecuted over their religious views. One Colonel who didn't want to be identified feared that he would lose his job if he spoke out about homosexual issues. This is happening all over the Air Force. Chaplains in Afghanistan are being told not to "sell religion". Don't wear crosses etc. LTC Kenneth Reyes from an Alaskan bases wrote an article about "No Atheist in Foxholes". It was first taken down and later reinstated. This was a take off on a WWII them of the same name. A 20 year old ethics briefing given to Missile Launch Officers has been stopped because it had some religious focus. A Chaplain has applied to the U.S. Navy to be a chaplain but he does not believe in God. Air National Guardsman Layne Wilson is in hot water because he opposed a gay marriage on West Point before the Don't Ask Don't Tell policy was in effect. Another note the first openly gay general is on board B/General Tammy Smith. Airmen from a variety of bases tell of walking on egg shells so as to not offend non believers.

This isn't the Air Force I served 24 years in. I don't think I want to be in the current Air Force and probably wouldn't recommend it to anyone who asks me about it. It is just like situations where a school says the Pledge of Allegiance every morning and suddenly one atheist parent object so they want no one to say the Pledge. If your kid doesn't want to say the Pledge then don't but don't take it away from others. Monuments to military have been erected for numerous years and then some group wants it taken down because there is a cross on it. What kind of Bull Shit is this? Are the Atheist running this country? Everyone has a right to their opinion but don't put it on others. They should have the freedom to do what they want.
