WHY DO PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR HOUSES AND VEHICLES UNLOCKED AND THEN WONDER WHY THEY ARE ROBBED?

Every day in my local newspaper they have crime information. Most of the crimes are against people who leave their vehicles and houses unlocked. Why would you leave your purse, your wallet, your electronic devices or tools in a vehicle that was unlocked? It happens time and time again. I don't think insurance companies should pay out claims where the vehicle or house is left unlocked. If you aren't concerned enough to protect your own property why should other insurance carriers have to pay more for your claims? Also I don't believe some of the claims I see of what was stolen. How can everyone have a 50 inch TV, jewelry worth thousands and every electronic device made and live in a $250 a month apartment or the items were in a similar vehicle a 89 Toyota. I think there is some elaboration going on. So if you don't want your stuff stolen lock it up. Even then it can be stolen but you are making it harder for the thief. They know if your doors are locked all they have to do is go a couple of houses and that one will be unlocked.

  1. People like us who grew up in California learned to lock it all up.
