We recently took a trip to the Outer Banks. My wife rented a house in Duck. Duck is in the northern part of the Outer Banks just south of Corolla. We found Duck to be one of the nicer areas of the Outer Banks. It is a small village but they have a mile long boardwalk and shops off of the boardwalk. There are plenty of services from Ski doo rentals, to delicious Duck Donuts, beach item rentals to restaurants. The beaches are also nice. The lower photo shows a beach area at sunset. No shark attacks have been reported here. It is a beautiful area with lots of rental houses. Check it out.
